Weekly Auctions
Weekly auctions are held each Wednesday year-round except at Christmas. The Sale begins at 6:00 p.m. in our Auction Center and runs until 9:30 or 10:00 p.m. for the main auction inside. When we have an outside auction, it starts at 6:00pm with the inside following.
Items are sold in "Lots", with each lot being given a number, which is printed in black on our special yellow tags. Above the Lot Number on the tag is the “Owner Number” which is preceded by a letter (K-933, M-123, etc.) for our reference only. Please take care to be sure of the correct number you need to know. A “Lot” can be one single item, 2 or more items, or 1 or more boxes of items, all of which will be grouped together. It is your responsibility to check the tags to see if the same lot number appears on more than one thing. It is also your responsibility to know what you are bidding on, so please take a close look before the item goes on the block.

The Inside Auction has an average of 400 lots and moves at a fast pace of 100 to 120 lots sold each hour. All the lots are numbered, beginning with #1 inside (and #1001 outside) and they are arranged in numerical order. A complete cross-section of general merchandise, tools, sporting goods, and household furnishings are sold inside. You are free to come in at any time on Wednesdays from 8:30 in the morning right through until the Sale begins to walk around and view the merchandise. During the day you may ask the staff about items of interest, ask to start up power tools and motors, and thoroughly examine things. You may also walk around and look during the auction, but are not able to ask the staff questions about the merchandise or start things up, and must not interfere with the Auctioneer in any way.
The Outside Auction has from 50 to 100 lots on average and moves at a slightly slower pace than our Inside Auction. Larger pieces of equipment, vehicles, and renovation and building materials are sold outside along with a small selection of general merchandise. In the Outside Sale there are often larger lots of mixed goods and you should check the tags carefully for the same number being on more that one yellow tag. Sometimes an entire table or shelf of boxed items will be one lot and if you give the winning bid you are responsible for taking all of them. Special Features within the Regular Auction on Wednesdays are held for Estate Items, Antiques, Firearms, and other categories. These are advertised over a greater area of BC and draw people from all over.
Special Auctions
Special auctions are held on weekends (usually a Saturday, and Sundays for Antique Sales) for one specific type of merchandise, at our Auction Center. These include Restaurant, Bakery & Deli Equipment, Antiques, Business Liquidations, Office Furniture, and large Estates. Sales begin at 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
Special auctions are sometimes also held on Wednesday evening in place of our regular Auction. They are devoted to a particular category of goods. On-Site sales are held on weekends at the location of the goods. They may be anywhere in the Central and North Okanagan regions, Shuswap and Revelstoke areas. Large estates, farm and business liquidations apply.
